Cherishing the Small Things

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone is well and tucked up at home. Such a scary time for everyone and I know it will be very difficult in the coming weeks so I will be holding on to every good moment that comes my way.

This morning starting at 5 am with my oldest daughter appearing in our room saying ‘Daddy I’m ready to go into the living room now!’ Neither Daddy nor Mummy was ready for the same thing, however I got up and proceeded to do my very best zombie mother walk to the awaiting couch! My daughter started playing with her dinosaurs and turned to me and said, ‘Mummy, you can go back to sleep if you want?’ She then, put a pillow under my head, disappeared, and came back with her duvet, tucked me in, and kissed me on my head!

Well, do you know what I did next? I got up and played dinosaurs! Thank you sweet girl for starting this day with your lovely countenance.

And the sweetness continued as Papa arrived at the window. We are all self-isolating and I explained it as simplistically as possible to my girls. They instead put their hands to the window showing their love for one of the most important people in their lives. I’m feeling extremely blessed today!

Love and prayers at this time. Keep strong and focus on every good moment!
